Ridgeline Terrace Study
Millbrook, NY · Proposed
Concept study. This is a visual exploration of a possible project, not a built or completed installation.
A hillside terrace concept unified by corten planters, a linear rill, and a blackened steel fire table.
Set along an exposed ridge, this study proposes a single steel datum line through the site — planters, rill and fire table all sharing one elevation, so the eye reads the whole garden as one composition.
The concept calls for planters fabricated from 1/4in weathering steel, seam-welded and ground before being weathered under controlled conditions to a consistent patina.
Materials
